Dozens of artists from all over Europe participated in ArtShopping Louvre this past weekend at the Carrousel du Louvre shopping center near the world-renowned museum.
Anita Fleerackers and her husband Staf Campforts from Gierle also had a booth at the art fair with a selection of works of art. The big eye-catcher was a racing bike of Ludo Boeckx, president of cycling club Het Vliegend Wiel from Lille. He had his racing bike taken care of by Anita Fleerackers.
“Ludo’s bike was artistically cuddled by my toros or bulls,” explains Anita Fleerackers. “My husband Staf and I were responsible for the design and a Dutch company took care of the bike. Ludo came to me asking to wrap his bike. After making several designs together with my husband and a few more color adjustments, we arrived at this beautiful result. The level of finish was of the professional highest quality.”
The artful bicycle was not for sale in Paris, but it attracted considerable interest.
